Meditation & Modern Buddhism
Drolma Kadampa Buddhist Center is a modern Buddhist meditation center serving Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the surrounding region.
It was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a world renowned Buddhist meditation master who has pioneered the introduction of modern Buddhism into contemporary society.
Our center offers a General Program of practical meditation classes that help us solve life’s problems and find a deep and lasting inner peace. These classes are self-contained and open to everyone.
Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from these classes. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits—whether they subscribe to another faith or to none. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Just your mind. However, if you wish to take notes, please bring a pen and notepad.
What if I don’t have money and I want to go to a class?
Everyone can participate in the classes regardless of ability to pay.
How should I dress for class?
No special clothing is required. Come as you are.
